First Cavity

Well, I now know the pain of getting a cavity filled and luckily I put it off for 23 years. I guess at this age I really dont have many firsts left but this was not one I wanted to mark off of the list. I really hope I dont ever have to go through that again and as if the waiting in the lobby was enought to build my anxiety I had to have an INJECTION!! I told the dentist that I was not mentally prepared for an injection and of course he responds with trust me you want this! So as always I say ok and went back to work feeling like my whole face was numb and like I had chipmunk cheeks. Needless to say, this whole first experience ruined my Friday night and I slept off the novacaine shot.

Bittersweet Memories

This past weekend I went home to watch Shelby hand over her crown. It seems just like yesterday when I was doing the same. I cannot believe it has been 5 years since I was in her shoes. McKenna was there wearing her crown for a few more weeks until she has to hand it over. Daddy looked so great walking Shelby onto the stage for the last time as Miss Brundidge. Doesnt my mom look great?? She just had her 60th birthday!

Wine Down Wednesday

Last night was Wine Down Wednesday and a great time was had by all parties involved. I am very disappointed in the fact that I did not get to have dessert from Fleming's. One person had me all worked up about the Chocolate Lava Cake which is his 1a favorite dessert. So I looked at Fleming's website to see what I missed out on: CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE - rich chocolate cake with a molten chocolate center, served with vanilla ice cream and chopped pistachios............Yum!! Cant wait to try it!! I did give in and drink red wine last night which was good despite the fact that I love a good Riesling. However, the cab did not disappoint so maybe I do like red wines after all. It never hurts to try anything once, right?

UPDATE: Had the Chocolate Melting Cake from Fleming's after Dinner at Brio and it is AMAZING!!

Working for the weekend

I am absolutely give out and dont know if I will ever be able to catch up on my sleep. I worked in my yard on Sunday and am in so much pain. I am too young to hurt this bad. This weekend is my mother's 60th birthday and we are going to have a surprise birthday party for her on Friday night. I am so excited to see all of my family since I feel like all I have doing is working...................so basically I am just working for the weekend!! :)
